Janesville, IL (December 29, 2019) – UPDATE-The identities of the victims in the accident that took place at 3400 West Rockport Road during the early hours on December 26 have been released. According to Rock County Medical Examiner’s Department, Emmanuel C. Jones, 19 of Janesville and Quentin A. Castillo, 20, also of Janesville were identified as the deceased victims in this crash.
During the early morning hours at approximately 12:01 a.m. on Thursday morning, the day after Christmas, the authorities and multiple ambulances were called to the scene of a fatal crash. A 2008 blue Chevrolet Cobalt was found smashed into a tree with the two occupants, both male, dead inside. Both victims required extrication to be removed from the vehicle. The crash closed down the area for hours after the accident.
