Machesney Park, IL (February 7, 2020) – An accident took place on Thursday, February 6th around 12:45 p.m. sources have reported. The incident took place just north of the large and busy intersection of IL-251 and IL-173.

The accident was blocked off by the Rockford Police Department and traffic was diverted around the area during the investigation.

There were injuries reported but the number and severity are unknown at this time. Emergency Service Personnel were on the scene to provide aid to the injured parties and transport victims to the hospital, as needed.

The details of the crash remain under investigation at this time by the RPD.
