Madison, WI (November 8, 2019) – According to Madison Police, the driver has been identified in a head-on crash that took place on Friday at 1:37 p.m. The accident left one woman with a fractured spine and a broken ankle.

The police arrested Kenneth A. Lutomoski, 34, and charged him with injury by intoxicated use of a vehicle. Additionally, he was charged for deviating from a designated lane.

The incident occurred on the 1000 block of Williamson Street. The 53-year-old Madison woman who was injured in the head-on crash told the police that Lutomoski came straight at her. She was transported to the hospital via ambulance.

Witnesses told authorities that they saw a large white rental truck driving erratically and swerving all over the road. At one point is lowed for no reason and then it turned from John Nolen Drive to Williamson Street. The truck sideswiped one car and just missed others before it hit its female victim head-on.

Police reported that Lutomski appeared drowsy and he admitted to being a heroin user. Lutomski failed the field sobriety tests administered by the authorities.
