Rockford, IL (January 2, 2020) – Sources are reporting that an accident took place on I-90 near the mile marker 15 ½ in the eastbound lanes. The accident was confirmed to have injuries.
The extent of the injuries was not released in the incident that occurred around 3:15 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.
The Rockford Police Department has stated that there were at least 2 individuals injured in the accident. The authorities have asked the public to stay clear of the area while they investigate. It is not known at this time if the victims required ambulance transportation to the local hospital.
The cause of the accident has not yet been released. Authorities continue their investigation into the details of the crash.
