Rockford, IL (November 7, 2019) – According to reporting by local sources, a water rescue took place on Sunday near Sterling. A vehicle that was loaded with occupants crashed and went into the Rock River near Lawrence Park.
All of the passengers in the vehicle were inside the vehicle when it crashed into the river. It took several emergency first responders from many jurisdictions to aid in the rescue of all of the victims from the river.
The current condition of the victims is unknown at this time. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
