Rockford, IL (December 6, 2019) – A child has been attacked and seriously injured by a dog according to local sources. The incident happened near 22 Wilshire Dr. during the afternoon on Friday, December 6th.

Calls that into the Rockford Police Department that described a loose dog running around the area. The child was badly bitten and was reported to have needed immediate medical attention.

The child was identified as a 10-year-old. After the child was rescued from the dog, the dog was still reported to be on the loose. Authorities have not confirmed that the dog has been detained.
