Rockford, IL (December 3, 2019)According to sources, a vicious dog attacked a person at approximately 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday morning. The incident took place near North Central Avenue and Sherman Avenue.

There were reports that the dog was running loose in the area. After many calls to the authorities, the animal was caught.

According to a bystander who witnessed the attack, the victim was bitten repeatedly on the leg. The bystander tried to intervene and rescue the victim from the dog. They were able to get the victim away from the dog and into their vehicle while the victim waited for emergency personnel to come to the scene.

The authorities have not released the identity of the owner of the animal.
