Rockford, IL (December 15, 2019) – A serious accident in Rockford has resulted in injuries. Just before 6 a.m. on Sunday a vehicle crash was reported at the dead-end area of Quaker Road, just west of Seminary Street. The number of injured parties has not been confirmed.
The Rockford Police Department, Rockford Firefighters, and EMS were on the scene. Extrication was necessary to cut at least one victim from a vehicle.
A car was reported to have collided with a semi-trailer sliding underneath in what is called an underride accident.
Sources say the injuries are life-threatening. It is unclear how the two vehicles collided. The RPD continues to investigate this incident.
