Rockford, IL (November 15, 2019) – Sources reported an accident that took place during the afternoon hours on Thursday, November 14. The accident was said to be very serious and the authorities had to close down the roads near the accident scene for several hours following the crash.
The major incident with injuries took place between a minivan and a car. All lanes were shut down in both directions as a result. The incident happened close to the Rockford Fire Department that’s located on West State Street. Injuries were reported but at this time we do not know how severe the injuries were.
The Rockford Police Department asked that the area of the 3400 block of West State Street, where the accident occurred be avoided by other drivers.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time. The RPD is investigating the incident.
