Rockford, IL (March 6, 2020) – A multi-vehicle accident was reported at the turn-off ramp on the Bypass near Alpine Road. The incident was said to have taken place at 4:25 p.m. in the afternoon in Rockford.

There were injuries reported as a result of the crash and at least one person was reported to have needed extrication from their vehicle.

The Rockford EMS and the Rockford Police Department were on the scene to provide aid to the injured parties and determine how the crash was caused.

The details of the crash were not released and the RPD is still investigating. The public has been advised to avoid the area.
