Rockford, IL (February 23, 2020) – A bad accident took place on the east side of Rockford during the early hours of Sunday morning. The incident took place near the intersection of South Alpine Road and Harrison Avenue. Several Injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

Witnesses say that there were at least 4-vehicles involved in the crash and at least one person required extrication from their vehicles by the authorities.

Two patrol cars from the Rockford Police Department, one fire truck from the Rockford Fire Department, and at least one ambulance was on the scene to provide assistance to the injured parties. One car was reported to have been rolled over on its side on the sidewalk of Harrison Avenue. Two dark-colored SUVs were also reported to have been involved in the accident.

The severity of the injuries and the factors which lead to the crash have not been released. The RPD is still investigating. Weather is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
