Rockford, IL (February 28, 2020) – On Thursday evening, at approximately 5:45 p.m. a pedestrian was hit by a passenger vehicle. The incident took place at the intersection of 15th Avenue and 7th Street.

The pedestrian sustained injuries, although, it is not clear how severe the injuries are. It was not confirmed if the driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene.

Authorities with the Rockford Police Department were called to the scene.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation by the RPD. As more is learned about the factors leading to the accident, these details will be released to the public.
