Rockford, IL (November 7, 2019) – According to sources, a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle during the early morning hours on Thursday. The incident took place in Machesney Park, near a bridge around 2:00 a.m.
The MD-1 unit was sent to the scene and the victim was located in the proximity of the bridge. Many other emergency personnel was also sent to the scene to provide aid to the injured pedestrian. It is believed the injuries are critical.
There were significant delays in the area for traffic. Roads were extremely slick making traveling treacherous.
