Rockford, IL (February 25, 2020) – A hit-and-run was reported in Rockford during the midday hours on Tuesday. According to witnesses, a vehicle hit a pedestrian and then fled the scene. The incident took place near Kelly’s Market.

The pedestrian sustained injuries in the collision. Authorities from the Rockford Police Department were called to the scene as well as an ambulance to help provide aid to the injured pedestrian. The incident took place around noon. No further information was released by RPD on the incident or the subject.

The severity of the injuries has not been released and the investigation into the details of the hit-and-run remains ongoing
