Rockford, IL (April 2, 2020) – A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a vehicle in Rockford overnight on Wednesday. The incident took place on Alida Street on the west side near Halsted Road.
According to sources, the vehicle fled the scene after the accident. The victim was lying in the roadway with visible injuries. The severity of the victim’s injuries has not been reported.
The Rockford Police Department was called to the scene. The cause of the accident was not reported and the RPD continues to investigate.
