Rockford, IL (January 2, 2020) – The authorities have confirmed that a serious accident took place around 5:20 p.m. on Thursday.

The incident, which occurred at Springfield Avenue and Montague Road, close to the Lowes Distribution Center in Rockford, resulted in at least two individuals sustaining injuries. The extent of the injuries and the identities of the victims have not been released by the Rockford Police Department.

The authorities secured the scene and asked the public to avoid the area while the investigation took place. It is unknown what caused the crash but the RPD is still analyzing the details of the crash.
