Rockford, IL (December 3, 2019)An accident took place between two cars on 11th Avenue and 5th Avenue on Tuesday during the early afternoon hours.

Sources report that the incident resulted in non-life threatening injuries. The Rockford Police Department was called and multiple cruisers came to the scene.

There was significant damage to each car involved in the crash with debris scattered about the accident scene.

One of the victims involved in the crash was identified as Jessica Daehler. She was reported to have made the statement, “I was in the car accident on 5th and 11th Street. We had the baby in the car. The woman ran the red light and slammed right into me.”

The area is being secured and taped off, other drivers were advised to find alternate routes around the intersection.
