Rockford Township, IL (April 16, 2020) – An automobile accident took place during the evening hours on Thursday in Rockford. The incident was confirmed to have injuries but the severity of the injuries has not been released. There were reports that more than one ambulance was called to the scene to provide aid to the injured parties.

The incident took place around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Auburn Street and Day Avenue. The Rockford Police Department and the Rockford Fire and Rescue were on the scene. The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.

The RPD continues to investigate.
